The Theological Mirror

I pity you, spiritual leper.
I see you shed your faith everyday.
I feel for you and your soul of disease.
All you believe you can’t see you betray.
Terrified of the Theological Mirror
Afraid of the reflection of your soul
You scream and yell at the flaws you see
In vain hoping to regain control
Hoping to obfuscate your own faults
By drawing all eyes on those of another
You wave faith like a mace in a crowd of the blind
And you laugh at the pain of your brother
How great it must be and how great must be the view
As you sit and condemn those passing by
But you will find that when held to the standards you used
Your horse was just a tad bit too high
